It's election time in Wisconsin again, and boy oh boy, the stakes couldn't be higher. So, we'll get right down to it, the Governorship. It's a choice between a candidate that answers to Wisconsinites, and one that answers to Donald Trump. Hard choice, I know, but if you can't get yourself to vote for a Democrat, no matter what, then just leave that oval blank, will ya? There's plenty of other Republicans running for office down the ticket that don't dance to the beat of a MAGA drum. Or, sit this one out completely, play cribbage instead. Let the good people of Wisconsin continue to move the state Forward. The last thing this state needs is a MAGA clown, only looking out for themself and theirs, leading Wisconsin right off the proverbial cliff.
Remember, this is the same guy that thinks it's his duty to decertify the will of the people.
The same guy that thinks the DOJ should not go after politicians for corruption. That politicians should be above the law, and do whatever the hell they want, if they're Republican. Otherwise, it should be used as a weapon, and given all the resources necessary, to go after Democrats.
Here's a thought, how about the justice department just stands up for justice, period, no matter what, and goes after anyone trying to game the system, regardless of party affiliation? What a concept. Sounds like "common sense" doesn't it?
The same phrase Tom Tiffany parrots, over, and over, and over.
'We’re going to go back to common sense'
Wisconsin's on the wrong track, get rid of the waste and fraud in Madison, send in the Dam Man. He knows it's Republicans that have controlled the Wisconsin legislature since 2011, right?
Whatever waste and fraud is going on in Madison, whatever wrong track this state is on, it's due to the Republicans' inability to write legislation that does anything but put Wisconsin on a path to providing meal tickets to the state's wealthiest.
He wants to make government smaller. Wouldn't that be nice. His solution? To audit every single state governmental agency and program line by line. Sounds like a helluva lot more red tape, and where will all the auditors come from? Sounds like even more government, and how will they be paid? Even more taxpayer dollars going to state government, but instead of improving state services, it will pay for his very own Government Audit Machine.
Common sense? Sounds like Tiffany's a few bricks short, or he doesn't understand math. But, hey, what can one expect from a clown?
Instead of closing the loopholes that allow opportunists to take advantage of the system, he blames others for not having the resources to go after those gaming the system. When, he's perfectly fine with people gaming the system as long as they're super rich to begin with. Like, voting to defund the IRS so they don't have the resources to go after the fat cats not paying their fair share, because paying taxes is downright, un-American, right?
With that laundry list of "clawbacks" you'd think he was doing the taxpayer a favor. Nope, none of it will magically reappear in the pockets of taxpayers, because it just got funneled into a blank check for ICE with no oversight or rules regulating their behavior, to enshrining Washington DC in gold for Trump's vanity projects, and going to war with Iran so Israel can expand its borders and let the Trump Brand profit off a goldmine of real estate ventures in the Middle East.
That's not the kind of auditing Tom Tiffany is into though, no siree Bob. Going after the wealthiest fleecing the system? No way, just going over state services with a fine-tooth comb. It's no wonder everything's so expensive! Can we take anymore from the people that don't have anything and give it to those that have more than they know what to do with?
If he understood math, he wouldn't be giving Crowley such a hard time for leading a county that overseas the largest revenue stream in Wisconsin, but gets the short end of the stick when it comes to paying the State's bill. It must be hard balancing all the needs of the county with a budget constantly raided by Republicans thinking that money is better spent on infrastructure out in the boonies.
Funny, isn't it, how much the Republican Party hates the word socialism unless it means Everyday People paying for their bullshit? Socializing risk and privatizing profits, that's Republicans for you.
The same guy that went out of his way to make discrimination a right, not just a choice, and even authored legislation to make it a reality, but his crowning achievement thus far? H.R.6651 - To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 603 West 3rd Street in Necedah, Wisconsin, as the "Sergeant Kenneth E. Murphy Post Office Building."
Wow! How's that for championing the Wisconsin Idea? All those long hours up on the hill penning the legislation that gets right down to the heart of the important issues keeping Wisconsinites up at night.
What a dip.
Maybe, someday, Republicans will produce a candidate that stands up for Everyday People again, that doesn't kowtow to the Corpo Crony Club keeping "hardworking" citizens subservient to their rule. Wisconsin had that once, you know, Fighting Bob —"The will of the people shall be the law of the land." Tom Tiffany leaves that part out whenever quoting Teddy Roosevelt though, doesn't he? That good ole Theodore decided to run for a 3rd term and steal La Follette's thunder, splitting up the Progressive movement so the common man could stay right where he was, under the heel of the Damn Man, forever.
Tom Tiffany, a fighter for Wisconsin? No, but he is a fighter for the ruling class, himself and his family though, growing up on a gigantic plot of land most can only dream of. He'll do anything, and say anything, to make people believe otherwise, and then do whatever's best for him. That's the MAGA way, and that's Tom Tiffany in a nutshell.
If you want Wisconsin to be a three-ring circus, vote for Tiffany The Clown. If you want Wisconsin citizens to have their own say in how the state moves Forward, then vote for the other guy, or just leave the gubernatorial oval blank.
